How do you like that 6.7? I need a new truck. My 2000 F250 7.3 is just too neat and rusty to keep going. 325,000 miles, runs like newish!
I love it so far. The power is ridiculous, and so is the fuel mileage... I’m hoping it will be reliable, but it’s only got 20,000 miles on it at this point.

View attachment 142919 My 2017 ram with the 6.7 Cummins. Wasn’t lucky enough to find a used one with the Aisan but I like it so far.
The thing I dislike the most about the Ram is the 6l80e trans... I hate the way they shift, and they aren’t that strong in stock form. The Ford 6R140 auto is much better, imo. I’ve also heard good things about the Allison, but I’ve never driven a newer Duramax.

Never had any issues with the 3 Allison’s I had before the ram. My buddy had a boat load of miles on his 14 ram with the 6l80e and he pulls a lot for work but I can’t recall him ever having an issues with it. He has an 18 now with the aisin and he likes it but he doesn’t care for the way it’s shifts.

That’s a decent load. I pulled a dump trailer today (12-13k lbs), and it pulled great.

Trailer is 6200 right there and the tractor is probably 11.5-12000 I’m guessing. Fluid in all 4 tires. We’ve never weighed it. Dry weight is 8k.

Just from driving my brothers ‘17, I really don’t like the way the 6l80e shifts (or sometimes doesn’t shift when you want it to). I’m sure most people don’t ever have a problem, but I would definitely want the Aisan if I got a Ram.

After a few of these, Ford reluctantly replaced the turbo on my truck...

No problems in the last 3000 miles, although it has less power with the new turbo. Still getting horrible mileage...

I trimmed the front valance, swapped out the grille, and installed a gooseneck hitch + airbags, but other than that I’m just driving it. All in all, I love this truck.
