So post what you have for a splitter and your specs. How fast is it? What do you like about. What don't you like about it, etc.

Pro's
It does split anything that I am physically able to lift on it

Con's
Fairly slow
I don't like the wedge on the ram

I am saving up for either a large commercial unit or a Super Split

IMG_0373.JPG IMG_0371.JPG IMG_0372.JPG Just got this on a trade. Rollers on pusher, 4 way wedge, beam is plated on both sides with 1/2'' , runs and works. Also has a brand new spare tire mounted underneath! Someone spent a lot of time building this.

Here's a few pics of mine just after it was done. Honda GX630, 28 gpm pump, 5" bore, 24" stroke, custom 3.75" rod cylinder, hydraulic oil cooler, log lift, adjustable 4 way, have 6 way wedge on the way, height adjustable log table. Alex does great fab work and builds great machines.download_20150715_125021.jpeg download_20150715_125024.jpeg download_20150715_125027.jpeg

Very Nice! You wanna trade ?
Plus a lotta cash!

I don't think Alex would build me that same thing for the same cost this time. Long story short, I contacted him about building me one, but he was too busy. I ended up getting something else, and well wasn't happy with it. Sold it back to the builder, and had Alex build me this one. I'm pretty happy with it, as it just works (my previous one I had problems with, and some serious engineering flaws).

He has one built right now for sale. It's not exactly like mine, but has 13hp motor, 5" bore, 24" stroke (don't know the rod, it's stock size) with log lift and adjustable 4 way. I'll relay the message and try to get him to post here.
