I had the same thought and was planning on trying to do what you suggested. Problem was that my........ uh......... "calculations" were off and the brake flag hit them before it could engage, so they got cut off.

Curve them down and they could be an extra set of dogs!!

Mason, if I were not going to leave any baffle in, I would remove those side skirts so the exhaust can expand as soon as it is in the muffler.

Yes, just a muffler mod at gtg. I modified the rest of the saw with basic mods now. Couldn’t leave it alone lol.

I dont know how I feel about this, but it seems to be one way to skin the cat. Looks like the pipe might interfere with operation though.

When I get my own personal 572 I’m cutting the deflector off and brazing on a @Red97 deflector I have and gutting the hell out of the can. Still can run a screen that way and it would be a “sneaky pete” stock appearance.

All of TM's saws have screens, that reduces flow about 50%. My Asian Muffs don't have any screens at all. Take it all into account.
