So how do you clean out a muffler? I want to mod my husky 181 muffler but inside looks like it has wet carbon crap all over it.
Im afraid of metal filing sticking inside.

Purple Power / Hot water
Rinse and repeat.
USC works well if you have one

Heat it up in the woodstove and it'll mostly clean itself up. I just run it through the parts washer afterwards

This^^^ I just went thru this, and burning it out was the only way. No chemicals would cut it.
