Thanks it is a nice hatchet very much in t(e Bahco style I got in 10 for the Ebay shop this week and already sold three perfect little Xmas present

coming to the axe experts..... any experience out there with Helko axes ???
they have some nice looking hand forged axes and made in Germany goes along with my favorite chainsaws

They are a good axe maker sometimes overlooked I sell a few of the cheaper made 3 1/2 up too 6lb stamped H.W
The top of t(e range axes like the vario are awesome only fa7lt I find is the handles can be a bit bulky too square

Update on using Evapo-rust for soaking axes. I’m impressed with it. It got scale off that 3 days in vinegar didn’t touch. A couple other bonus features are that it doesn’t attack any good metal and it’s completely non-toxic and darn near odorless. I’ll be using this stuf from now on.

I used some butcher block oil that I had on my Gransfors Bruk handles. Came out nice. [emoji106]
