I've been wanting a Plumb double bit for a while...only ones I've found were mega money. 2 very nice bits there, when the mail man can bring those to your door, the idea of going to a big box store to buy a fiskars seems well, almost funny.

It's a pity those kellys are so expensive here in nz, as well as axe handles! Not sure what brand this is but it's a hefty 5lb first axe I've ever re handled

Didn't realize what I had here until I touched it up

I gotta get me a Norlund or seven. I really like the design of their axes.

Yeah same here the shape is a killer I’ve got two hatchets already for keeps and one too move on

I don’t know whether to slim down and shorten a 36” handle or make a 28” handle

I found a very nice Norlund single bit on craigslist for $30, problem is that it's a 3 hour drive. I'm going to see if I can work out deal and have the seller ship it. Not likely being a craigslist ad:(

Its an old post but that axe of @Wilhelm back on page 16 looks a lot like one of those Hjärtumyxa axes from Sweden or somewhere
That is an awesome design.
Wilhelm uses a 40" handle on that, plus he is a big guy. He must generate some serious power with that setup.

I hope I may have sourced a local blacksmith that supposedly still takes custom orders.
Will try look him up, bring my ax along and ask whether he'd be willing to copy it.

For what and how I use this ax for it is the best I personally ever used!
