SHOW ME YOUR AXES

Nothing but the stamp.
I've never seen one before.

I imagine it would be fairly easy to research the makers mark

I would say it's a west German head the crown with the initials underneath
If it's a CH stamped I would say it could be a Carl Helster but his axes usually had a date stamp as well ??

But also some of the Swedish axes had a crown stamped on them
Some of the earlier hulfors had a crown and a stamp sometimes HBA

Yes that's why I was curious about country of origin,if man. In western Germany then I was leaning towards Ochsenkopf

That axe will be a good in when your finished it will be difficult to send it back to its owner

You're right i got a chance today when we were building his house to cut the tape mud and rust off the bottom of the head.
I took his word he had never seen a stamp lol
It was covered by tape.
Look's to be the expedition as it's called now.
It will clean up great.

Had a large parcel from @jacob j. and tucked away in the bottom of the box was this lovely Collins axe head , nice surprise got around too putting a bit of wood in the lil'devil today

Found this one in the barn a couple years ago and tucked it into a corner for a rainy day. Still haven't found said rainy day, but came across the axe again. Hit it briefly with a wire brush, but didn't find a mark on it. Not yet anyway.
