I usually have Tennessee hickory make mine. They are really good at the octagon hafts!
That's where I wanted to get mine from, but at the time the website wasn't working properly on the ordering end. And I couldn't get anyone on the phone, so I went to another company

Wot happened here there must be a good story behind this un

I'd like to know what happened also. I've had that axe since around 2009, just used it for splitting, it's a X25

Other day I was using it, kept feeling something pinch my hand. After looking it over close, the crack opens up when it hits the wood, pinching my palm.

Not sure how or when it cracked, going to email fiskars a pic, see about getting it warrantied.

Helped my dad clean up the garage. Left for home with an old True Temper Red Warrior he said was my grandpa's. Needs the edge profile worked a bit, and a new handle fit, but its actually pretty tight still!

Also scored his old small vice!

Haven’t been acquiring many axes lately but I found this little beauty yesterday. Never seen one before and of course being a tomahawk I had to grab it for a whopping $15:D. And it’s never had the grinder treatment...woohoo! Didn’t know True Temper made a tomahawk and from what little research I’ve done they’re pretty desirable little hatchets.
