I picked up a year old, very lightly used Shindaiwa T282 weed wacker that would run ok, seemed super cold blooded even in the hot Summer months. I have owned many Shindiaiwa trimmers, T18, T20,T28, T235 Blue, T262? and 3 other T282 and have never had one this finicky.

You hit the throttle and it just bogs big time.

It had been run on crap fuel / oil mix, now 40:1 trufuel, new plug early season.

The carb is sealed, so only the idle / throttle cable can be adjusted.

Thoughts?

Sounds like someone has swapped out the carb as the ipls are showing it should have a Walbro WYK-352 which is a fully adjustable carb though it may have EPA tamper resistance plugs.
