Very odd. I would think that oregon would use the same exact bars during manfacturing and just grind different width grooves.

IKR even the K095 28" is 93 do you'd think that one would be a few dl shorter with the narrower tail and all.

Been like that for years! I don't know why it's a big pain in the you-know-what! Husky branded bars that are made by Oregon are both 93 Drive links no matter whether it's 50 or 58 gauge! Doesn't make any sense who in Oregon bars are different! I do know from experience that you can run a 93 link chain on a 92 link bar for quite a while before you have to take a link out! Just something else to fight when you're out in the timber. My my what to do!

There ya go, peeing in my Post Toasties again by telling me to spend money on a rivet breaker, spinner and accessories! Nuclear reactors gotta be easier.

So if I mount this bar on a Makita 7900, D009 Mount, and the bar is .058 I’ll need 92 links?

That's what I found out! If you have a new 93 it might be ok for a while till you have to take a link out! And if you notice when you jump up to 32 inch bars or 36-inch bars that they are all the same. Either 105 Drive links or 115. Maybe somebody will come up with the real answer I'm just sharing my experience!

There's not a pic of the nose of the Shindawa bar but it seemed like the two that I had the nose was just a little narrower then my Oregon her husky bars.

Maybe @Jon1212 can step in here and shed some light on this debacle.
