Not sure who made bars for Shindaiwa. Tried to cross reference this but not making headway. Does anybody know if this is the same as an Oregon D009? Thanks.

Looks like it must be 28" 3/8 x .058? I am fairly sure that the bigger Shindaiwas did run the D009 mount. Most of the smaller ones ran K041 mount.

Thanks. May have to buy it from the guy, a 28” would be nice and since I don’t have a 28” then buying .058” isn’t a big deal. Now after you said what it is I can see how to read the code, thanks. That is a gorgeous dog in your avatar.

Thank you. She is the same breed as Hooch from the movie Turner and Hooch.

Lol, both ;).

Commonly called French Mastiff, her technical breed name is Dogue de Bordeaux.
I do recall they used egg whites to make Hooch that drooling monster. Another bar question, looking at the Oregon chart if it’s a .050 28” bar it’s 93 dl, if it’s .058 it’s 92 dl. Why?

I bet that's a misprint.
Now here is a screwy thing if you didnt know

28" D025 91dl
D176 92dl
D009 93dl

You'd think with all of them having the D tail pattern they'd be the same DL.

Jemma slobbers almost as much on her own... She must be an over achiever.

As far as the drive link question, i had never noticed that before, that seems odd to me. I don't run any .058 guage bars but hopefully someone that has a 28" .058 d009 bar can confirm the dl count.

I saw that on the Oregon site and started getting nervous, then I read your post Wayne and now it’s up to panic. I’ll probably buy it off the guy cause it’s cheap and call Nate, pretty sure he can figure it out for me. At least you don’t have to bath the kids/grandkids with Jemma around. Love those big dogs, but the boss won’t let me have anything bigger than a German Shepard.

3D19D815-177B-4657-B9E2-DFA44A7A9855.png To your post Wayne we do see different mounts, these are all for D009 mounts. If you look at chain .050 and .058 are the same, look at the bars and the dl is different.

That post from Logger Chain shows the same changes in drive links as the Oregon site. But why does the chain only section show them being the same.
