My sister-in-law just purchased a house and there is a Sears and Roebuck 143-435 Franklin wood burning stove in the family room.
She would like to remove and possible sell.

Does anyone know anything about these stoves and what might be a current pricing on it might be?
As I said, she is looking to remove it so I thought I would ask the people on the Best Site I know of...

@breese, they are very inefficient stoves. Even for their day they were drafty. If you could get a $100 I say you should strongly consider taking it. You should even consider $50 if offered.

Agreed. I don't think they are very desirable due to the inefficiency.

Mom woke me up wadding up newspaper every damn morning re building the fire in one of those when I was a kid. Finally replaced it with an Ashley.

I love my recirculator stove, puts off a lot of heat and will hold the wood all night.
