I have some larger sticks of cottonwood I could get, but I'd need to haul them home, which means it would be easiest to bring my tractor there to get them, and double back , I'd prefer to get paid to haul them , but if your getting them dropped off that's nice! Good thing is I still have some nice ash left here and a big stick or two of elm I got this spring.I’ll try it out in some harder wood today.
Poplar is not very hard at all. I use as test wood because the harder stuff is better to burn and I don’t wanna ruin it all by making cookies.
I got it from a tree service that dropped off some logs here. He asked if I wanted some tulip. At first I said no, then Definitive Dave told me to grab it because that’s what cants are made from. I’m glad I did or there wouldn’t be anything left to split.
