I would also take a 462 over a 562, being they are the exact same weight (both 13.2 lbs), both for reliability and performance.

I've got only $300 and a lot of time (including porting) into a Asian 440 Big Bore that runs fairly strong and has not come apart yet!!!

Plus, I learned a lot doing it!

Well... stock it’s only 2 seconds slower than a ported 390xp with a 32” bar in oak. This is a well broken in 572. 390 got a lot more torque but the 572 does good for its size. Yours should be an animal modified.
Nice test Mason.

A good smaller saw will generally keep up with a bigger saw in small wood.

Once you bury that bar fully, I suspect the 390XP will open a can of whoop ass on the 572.

No replacement for displacement plain and simple.

The 572 is a nice runner for sure. Spike let me run one in CT and it was impressively smooth and powerful.

:couch: 500i did beat jeff’s saw with his fancy belly bawh in the cants...
So the 500 will be taking lunch moneys but
Price alone makes the 2260 the choice for me, brand new under $500.00 nib. Plus jreds are sexy saws.
I can have two of these for the price of that or port the 2260 and make the new 500 guy cry and buy a port job. Plus you still have money for a good steak dinner and some quality beer or wine with the wifey ;-) Simple arithmetic!
I'd bet most crews end up with two new 2260's vs the one 500
