My friends' wife's car has a leak near the rear main bearing. Mechanic says it won't likely get worse, just watch the oil. Come in when they're ready to repair it. It leaks about a quart a month. So, they haven't changed the oil or filter for 2 years. They just add a quart a month. I am sure the environment loves them.

It's a fringe benefit of working in the same *s-word hole for 15 years lol.

I don't have a drill press, but that dog defeated some real good drill bits.
That a Bridgeport baby!

Drill presses are flimsy 3rd world crap compared to these bad boys.

Same 28” 8 pin semi skip square on both. Some kind of scotch or pitch pine. Both cut within 1.4 sec of each other on average, hit a knot on the last cut with the 7900. Suprised by the XT, it’s got some nuts for 71cc’s.

I tried to be consistent and pushed on them enough to keep in the powerband by feel. That was stock chain out of the box too. Bore cutting hardwood timber, the 7900 does have more grunt.

I modded two xt’s out of the 3 we have, both basically the same way. Matching the lowers to the base (lot of grinding), more intake duration, ditched the gasket, removed casting slag off the pistons, timing advance and muffler mod. One has the strato intact and the one in the video has the divider removed out of the carb and intake horn but not the boot as part of experimentation. The 7900 is done pretty much the same way and has the slab sided piston. I have both tuned a bit past the limiter.

Nice Mason. I bet both would do a little better with a full woods port and carb job.
