Not too impressed with the Dolmar 133.

It'll respond well to a little breathing treatment and a little more compression.

3/8” would probably help but bars aren’t everywhere for these. Back to the shop for more timing, gasket delete, muffler mod and porting.

It looks like a Oregon D mount bar pattern. Couldn't you just widen the slot of a Stihl bar?

Naw, he was slipping around on a couple cat turds.

Jim wins the prize. Dry day for me. The saw had some unforeseen issues, and the walk to the woodpile is around 1/4 mi each way from the shop. Lots of stuff under that sawdust, plus, I trip in almost every vid I make. Maybe you didn’t notice it in past Deeter.

Saw was lean at first. Has a 461 HD50 carb on it. Had to drill the main jet. Then, too much timing advance, had to pull back to stock.

Saw was a redo of someone else playing with jug that wasn’t the greatest, so I was limited by what I was given.

If anyone’s bored...

All in, probably walked about 3 miles in boots with all the gear before vid was shot.

The muff was really hacked up before I touched it. Has to pull entire baffle out. Instead of peeling crimp apart, I cut it and tig brazed back together.

As for the hd50, it indeed has the smaller 58 jet.

I JBd the metering plate closed and added a vent hole.

Muffler 100% sucks. It’s fair to charge $50, just for the muff mod. Worst of any model I’ve touched my grimey hands to.
