Still a bit surreal and I don't think it has set in just yet, thank you again for this it is going to make a really fun project and was something I was pondering to do down the road. Hard to realize that it's here and now front and center. So I will have to study on it a little bit and come up with a plan, an evil one at that.

Good news today... ignition module came in the mail and I put it right in and put it to work. Had to clear the saw out was flooded from the other ignition not doing its job.

So yes, it runs!

@Jon1212 must be a popular fella around here, with all the folks that jumped in to help out with these saw's.

Wasn't the only part that came in, this Binford HDA198A showed up as well, donated by @Onan18 , thanks a ton Joe!
Did the parts swap last night.

Enlarged the entire intake tract to match the bore of the new carbeltater. Don't want any flat spots and such.


Put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Fire up will have to wait for now.

It's alive! Lol This video was left with the fugg ups and all in it so you can see this saw is really being run in multiple cuts being leaned on heavy and doing its thing. I fattened it up, down to 14,500 RPM before cutting as it's still breaking in, it had my tach pegged at 15k tuned by ear.(guess it's time for a new one) It has a .325" .058" Oregon bumper drive link chain on a 20" bar. I normally would have rolled that log on out to cut it but left it for a place for the camera and the vidja's sake and is why I got a little kick back going there when I thought it was ready to move. I also "stuffed" the saw leaning on it hard the one time, I chose not to edit it out for reality's sake. Pine log 28" in diameter.

I am well pleased with this saw. It will be a dandy wood cutter for the lucky winner.
So the last thing to do was give it a stamp of approval and one from all the help along the way.

Even though @Jon1212 likes to threaten us with a banning every now and again, he's a pretty good feller and I hope these saws have helped enrich his family's life and his as well. A whole lot of folks came together to make this all possible I tried to mention them along the way. I'm very proud of the amount of willingness from others that came forth and it showed in the end result of one dandy of a power saw.

Your cookies are too big. You’re going to run out of test wood if you keep cutting them that big.
