I got a low hour 5 h.p. tecumseh engine given to me. Came off a rototillar.
Could i use this motor on my snowblower?
Would i just have to take out the air filter so it dont ice up? What your thoughts?

Air filter one thing not needed as the air is usually very clean but you need to provide carburetor intake air heating or you will have carb icing problems. Even on my Bolens rider ices over below 40F when the humidity is up.

Take a look at a small Toro snowblower... shrouded all the way around the engine.

Same for the big two stages like a Snapper... it has a vent on the blower housing that blows hot air into the area under the carb shroud. However, on that one, there is no bottom to the shroud. It does cover front to back, top, and side away from blower housing.
