Even if it isn't you can still drill those holes out and use a Dremel tool and grind on the heads of the carburetor bolts a little bit and get it to fit

Stock with gasket should have around 0.050" squish. 154/121/140 duration, 103/119.5/70 opening.

W/O gasket squish should be 0.030" 150/117/143 duration, 105/121.5/71.5 opening.

I’m getting some weird #’s on it 154 on exh and intake was huge at 161 without gasket didn’t have time to recheck before work got it together and dropped jug on check in and ex twice but had to shower

OK, so if my brain is processing right, my intake opening where it is at 80 should be 160 duration. And again, if my brain is processing this correct, your intake opening would be at 80.5.

Exhaust, 154 duration should be 103 opening.

Sounds like your cylinder has been ground on and I wonder where your transfers are.

Check compression without the base gasket and if you have strong compression, I might try and raise that exhaust 2 or 3 degrees. Mine is opening at 98, but Shaun cut my base and squish so even at 98 mine still pulled 210psi.

You definitely have enough intake IMHO

But, I'm still learning this stuff, so seek guidance from those more experienced.

I don't see how an unaltered intake could gain that much just with a gasket delete. And going by Shaun's post, the exhaust shouldn't be where it is with the gasket delete either. I'm sure some margin of deviation from one cylinder to another could be expected, but that intake.....

Sounds like you have a 395 piston, they have a shorter skirt and would cause the intake timing to fall close to there.

And that's why we have guys like that around...I did not know that about the 395 piston.

Being that his exhaust seems a little higher than expected, does that mean the 395 piston has different pin-crown height too? Or maybe shorter overall??

you can tell a 395 piston right away because the positioning pins are close together. on a 394 they are about an inch apart

So I haven’t been back on ruff night at work!!! Yes it is a 395 piston was told they where the same as a 394 but with better ting pin arrangement guess I’ll have to get different piston
