I think I'm going to try a kn with a outerwear on it

Will do when I find it !!! I just like the idea of a filter that u can completely clean also

I've never had to clean an HD filter in the 4 years I've had my 395 together. Even with lots of time on the mill.

I did recent have outerwears make custom prefilters for the stock HD filter. Probably a waste but I figure it wouldn't hurt.

They are impossible to find those filter necks. I ended up modifying a 395 one to work. Drilled the screw holes out bigger and clearanced the plastic around bolt heads so they'd seat. Seems to work well. Then I ended up finding a 394 elbow after I did all that work lol. If it fails I'll swap on the 394 elbow.
Baileys sells those elbows

NLA I thought. Maybe the shyknees have knocked it off. I'm not a fan of chianeez crap.

Just an FYI to anyone in this thread, I tried one of those chi-town coils on evil bay. Crazy cheap. It solved a hot start issue I had on the mill, but only lasted a few months before it really crapped out. Bought an OE one and I've been great since. Lots of time on the original so I wouldn't say it eats them for lunch either.
