Hi all, been along while since ive posted anything on here, took a sabbatical from saws for awhile, but starting a couple projects.

I have a jonsered 2252 that i bought knowing it didnt run correctly. It will fast idle but will not run WOT no matter what. Im just going to buy new carb and fuel line/filter. I remember reading about certain model carbs to avoid. But i dont know if that pertains to the 2252. Will i be safe just buying a carb from like ereplacement parts or the likes there of. Or does anyone on here sell oem parts i can buy from. Thanks

For sure you'll want to make sure the carb and coil are compatible. You have to pair them. A new carb will likely be without software loaded.

You will need the coil part # for the dealer to program the carb for your saw. I believe any coil can be used for any carb.

So if i buy a carb from the dealer, i can give them the coil part number, they can they download whats needed to the new carb only? Or will i have to take in the whole saw?

Ok, next queston, is there anybody on here that does that, i dont have a dealer close by who wants to mess with it. I had a shop do a master reboot they called it, it didnt help. They said that was all they could do.

Not sure if this helps or if you even want to bother with trying it, but I got a new carb and computer for a 562xp. Rather than taking it to be programmed, I swapped the computer off the old carb to the new one and it works fine. If your computer already has the newest updates I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work for you.

Idk if my computer is all updated or not, the guy i had hook it up said it wasnt calling for any updates. On a 2013 model saw, i kinda thought that was odd.

Well, i have a carb coming from local dealer, will the saw need to be programmed after i install the new carb? Or since they had rebooted it already, can i slap it on and go?
