Neighbor had a “red maple” and a mystery tree removed. The tree service put some of the wood in my yard for me.

Asplundh was doing powerline clearing about 5 mins from my cabin,, we just happened to get one nice day,,fir tree I drug out with ma dodge, sno make em come out nice. Lotsa wood cutter here, so if arent quick ya loose. I will go back in the spring and get the top and two smaller trees

I’m cutting wood on A friends private property and I’m still worried about wood pirates. Although I would probably know who they were. Lol. A couple other guys say they want some but I don’t see them out there cutting frozen firewood and changing out four chains in the course of a few hours cutting , nor do they have saws big enough. This is the one time where are CAD has really benefited. Lol

Neighbor across the street had a pin oak removed, tree service dropped the limbs and trunk (36”) in my yard yesterday. Before and after:

Cleaning up a log landing over the hill. Gonna throw the farmer a few bucks for letting me cut. I don't usually pay for firewood but he can use the extra money and it's quality stuff, mostly oak. Plus he lets me hunt.

There's enough wood on the property for several years.

Well I believe I got about the last load off of this pile I’m going to get. Getting to dangerous and hard to pull stuff out. They pushed a lot of good wood up on it, mostly in the middle and too big or tangled in twiggy loose garbage wood and don’t have the means to pull it apart. Last one I got was a burr oak it took me 1.5 hrs to get the trunk free so I could flip it out of the pile. Every round had to be noodled. Plenty of others this size and larger but same as above issues.

Yes it is such a shame it came down it was always spectacular in the summer
But the fungus got too it there was only 4-5 roots feeding the tree
