I grabbed a heaped C-30 load of maple from a house I'm working on. My business partner and his 10 year old helped, including helping load the truck with a skidsteer, so we made easy work of it. We cut 6 or 7 trees down in the yard. Nothing big, the butt of the biggest was about 16-18". There's a small pickup load left for when it quits raining.

This is my first post..so wish me luck lol !

In the process of cutting out all the dying Ash off my property. Can't keep up with it ! What a shame..some nice trees...all have holes in em :(
But will help us stay warm this winter !

I forgot to take a pic out there that day...but here's a pic of my 450 cutting on another pile of hard maple..and old cherry :)
Now don't be poking fun at my 450 !
I had a financial set back the last few years....had to sell my collection .
(272..268...262xp...261...257....61...66...266xp and se....242...545...550xp....etc..etc :(
Alot of wood can get cut with the 450...with a sharp chain...and a well tuned carb :)
Forgot to mention ....I've been on Firewood hoarders site for a long time .
Name is Honeyfuzz over there !

I was on a big forum years ago that looked poorly on anything that didn't say xp on it lol ......but like you say....alot of wood can be cut with these things .
Clamshell or not...I like this 450 !
It's actually my second one over the years. It's honestly all I'll ever need.
Now wanting....that's a different story lol !

Last weekend. Some apple, mulberry, cherry, hackberry and not sure what the rest is (woody wood I guess). Most won't need split.
