Yeah, punched quite the hole in it. Brother and I got the tree off the shed and I got to break in my new 550xp a bit. Bucking it up this weekend.

Ash borer killed it a few years ago then ants made pretty quick work of the trunk. Storm last weekend pushed it over.

Insurance will fix the shed and even paid the deductible since we were able to pull it off instead of having to hire someone. No one was hurt and I get a bunch of nice firewood. So worked out ok.

Insurance also should be paying 500 for the removal of the wood(that's all they give here), that's standard, a tree company will bill that or more for removal then charge for the work on top.
Hope that helps in the negotiations.

Bucked this up yesterday, kinda deceiving how big it is when seeing just the picture of it bucked up.
Dropped this in the spring, that's a 24" bar on the MMWS 6421, when I made the bore cut I had to get after it from bothering sides.

Yup, that is exactly what he did. Deductible is $500. Insurance company said they would pay that instead of having to pay someone to remove it. Although there was no removal in the quote since he knew I wanted the wood.

Perfect .
Took down a couple pines(one actually that was a double leader).
The second was back leaning a bit and had way more branches on the back side, step cut and a little tug from the bota and she was down .
It will make some good bon fire wood at the inlaws.

Answered a FB ad for red oak.



Ended up being a lot more than the large base log shown. There is another tree in the weeds to get.

Guess you could say I got real lucky. I grazed some metal, which made me cut a little crooked after.

3 trips later and all the oak is cleaned up.



Saved the best for last. This round was interesting.

Some more work on the elephant. Nice cool cloudy day so I was able to get it all cut into rounds, and all but one big round cut into 6th. The MS441C with 24" bar sure made life easier, but boy is it thirsty.
