I've never understood the logic in using vegetable oils but to each his own. This is a saw that I tore down in March. It was used with canola oil to mill with. I've soaked it in everything from gasoline to diesel fuel........and it's been horrible.
It's finally clean enough to assemble.

Case scenic railroad has to use the same stuff for their trains they said it doesn't lube as well but they are required to use eco friendly oils
Randy are you selling this saw when finished?
Looking for an 880.No sir.......it belongs to a customer.
Are you looking for a big saw Mike? I have a few 3120XPs.
Hey Sweetheart,
While your in there, would it be feasible to swap in an 880 crank?
Or is that counter productive?

you can lead a man to bar oil but you can't make him use it.He's just gonna run veggie oil in it again.

And that skinny thing can actually endure the forces of a piston racing up and down within a 084?
Physics, just amazing...
