I dont have anything fancy or custom. Just factory stuff. I piss away too much money on other stuff to get into custom, plus, nowhere remotely local to shoot over 300 yards anyway.

Remington 700 long range. 300WM

Ported a Poulan with it too

My 7mm in back, Savage 110 in .30-06 in front. I bought the Savage off a guy who won it in a raffle for $150. I dontvrecall specs currently, but in ladder testing it loves some hot Barnes tts-x and shoots damn good groups.

The 7mm has a ton of rounds through it. Getting some throat erosion and groups are opening up, but its still easy minute of Whitetail vitals to 300 yards.

Thank you @blacksmith! The tools I didn’t have i built or rented. Only other thing I bought was the action wrench. Reamed the chamber by hand.
Would love to have a lathe big enough to do barrels on but it’s far from needed at the moment.
I’ve had an itch to build another rifle lately....

That's true I do have some friends that have some of the tool needed to do that kind of work that they would probably lend me. But I don't have quite all the necessary knowledge of tolerances and would not want to risk something blowing up in my face.

Definitely some cool stuff that is an art! If you build another gun I'd like to see some pictures of the progress.

What was the corrective action on your .35 Whelen?

As far as specs, lots of reading and more measuring.

She’s not but he is?

.260 Regular
R700 Printed with a PTG bolt.
Hawk Hill 1:8 .264”
McCheese HTG(?)
Badger Base & bottom metal.

The barrel is going on a diet: I’ve already had it cut from 26” to 24”. There is a wizard who claims he can flute it without causing the groups to grow: we’ll see.

It’s had an NXS & a Razor gen II on it also but probably NX8 will Be it’s forever scope.

Let me know how you make out with the barrel fluting. I have a 7mm wsm that needs to go on a weight loss program.

Need to getcha a few pieces of AR500 and get rid of that mild steel:Saeufer:
I’ve got swinging targets at home, I’m working out in Nevada so I brought the gun. Grabbed a hunk of plate from the shop before I left. Just improvising, really need to get setup at home but it’s hard to find a good place to shoot

10-4 on that. Have a 60yd rimfire target off my deck but the neighbors cows get in the way of anything beyond 100yd.

Although....... Freezer could probably fit a youngin. :hambre:

I’ve got places to shoot up to 400 yards at home.

This range has targets out to 2100 yards. Lol

Nice guns guys!

My shot a few weeks ago was a little closer up, at about 80 yds - offhand - as soon as he spotted me, so no time to spare. But my Ruger American Rifle in 06 (with my handloaded Barnes 168 gr TTSX) bullets got it done through heavy brush. :)

The 8 pt rack was not huge, but the deer's body was good size, so good table fare! When my Nephew sent a pic to my Daughter of me and the deer in the snow, my 5 year old Graddaughter saw it and exclaimed: "Grandpa got a Snow Deer"! I also took a 7 pt with the Cross Bow, so it was a good hunting year for me.

It’s a a shame with Ft Hood in my front yard that there are no civilian use long distance ranges. All privately owned firearms brought onto post also have to be registered on post..... I can just see showing up with some of my rifles to register them with some of the clowns working Ft Hood PMO. What do you need with this.......
