Here's some completely random Ireland:
Ormond Stores and Lounge just across the border in Tipperary near work. It's kinda cool in that unless you are a local, you wouldn't know there was a bar in the back that you go behind the counter to get to:
Three of our hounds in Powerscourt Gardens, plus a buds black lurcher all looking like bidniss:
The gelato shop on the beach front near us:
In the mid of winter, this is the suns highest apex since we are at such a latitude:
The McDonalds in Bray:
Random fair in Bray:
Thursday faire on Talbot off Marlbourough Street, just off the Spire and OConnell street in Dublin Centre:
Bray Harbour view:
A view towards Wicklow Town Harbour Lighthouse from Caslean Dubh:
I prettied this image up a bit, but it's a good representation of the random beauty here. This is up the mountain near Knock Cree if I recall:
Gleann Dara(glen of oak). Yes, I'm aware there's no oaks in this pic
:
A different view of the river walk in Arklow we saw earlier from D'Arcy McGees pub:
Matt the Thresher's in Limerick:
These images from the Killaloe/Birdhill/River Shanon area were taken with a 2.75 mega pixel Nikon camera. The lens is great, mind you, but it shows you how over blown mega pixels are(the McDonalds pic above was done with a 30 year old manual lens and a 12 mega pixel camera):
Brenden Grace's
This is a email I received from Freda Gleeson shortly after I posted this pic:
"The pub with the name Brendan Grace on it was where I was born. My great grand father started there in 1863 and I sold it in 1990. In my day and before it was an old fashioned bar and grocery."
- Freda Gleeson, Birdhill, Ireland
Crotty's Bar Killaloe:
I could see myself in a houseboat living on the river Shannon:
One more look back at Loch Derg and the Shannon:
The wife before Geoffs Bar, my favourite place to visit in Waterford. Built originally as a small church on the side of a hill a bazillion years ago, the interior is super cool old school style complete with way too much dust in the air and old church furniture, and very dark throughout. My kinda place:
Timahoe again:
A friend's barn conversion in county Cork, near Schull.
