You might as well take him to the tractor pulls too. I could hear them gettin' it on down by the interstate where I stayed for the GTG. ( I guess they could have been 4X4 trucks, they was makin' a racket) Teach him the virtues of forged American steel!

They go regularly. These last ten years I've gone out of my way to avoid smelling race fuel.....but, I gotta do this with him.

Sounds like a good build plan.
The long tailshaft trans is good for a Suburban that you may need for a tow vehicle.

I may have to go peeking thru the raffle winners fence to make sure he is treatin that saw right
and maybe to see how it runs.
It's local, good to have another loud TN. chainsaw down here in my end of the swamp

Tell Bubba to have fun

Swamp GTG. You literally live a couple miles away.

Once I get some staking from the survey guys I'm going to have A LOT of wood to test our Tennessee saws on.

Whoa!

Can’t believe it.

Looking forward to seeing the progress of this
Stang/Vette in the coming year.

Thank you Randy and Jonathan. The cause for this raffle make this that much more special. The time you two share learning and building is priceless.

You have a great grand father Jonathan.

Sweet saw mang! Congerts!:campeon:

I've been looking at that Randy.....seems to be a popular fuel.
If you are near an ethanol plant that will work with you, they may sell you some in 55gallon drums. That’s what my brother ran in his hobby stock dirt track car. Most pump E-85 that we had our motor man check was between 60-70%, one local store was pretty consistent at about 80%. The 3 closest plants wouldn’t sell it to us, we had to drive about 100 miles to one that would sell it in 55gallons drums & picked up 200 gallons for ourselves & another fella.

Well men.....with the help of you all, and with Bubba being willing to get his hands dirty, he's managed to get the Mustang, some gravel for the barn floor, and a chassis kit with roll cage so far. With the cold weather, Lowell still ain't brought the car, but the chassis kit is on the way.

Bubba has plenty of work ahead of him to get ready to install this.

It's most important function is safety of course.....but it also replaces the stamped sheet metal frame that's in the body now. With this frame and cage, the car will be rigid and ready for a four link suspension.

Clean the metal, make good welds, and yes a rigid frame makes a huge difference.

Get some good brakes on it before the motor goes in.
I have seen what happens when someone just wants to feel the motor before finishing the build.
You got better sense than that and watch out for Bubba so stupid won't happen.

Want to see a pic with the cars front end looking real light and Bubbas eyes the size of baseballs as he leaves the line.

That's what I'm looking forward to seeing too Dennis.

We'll have to have the "you don't just get off the throttle" talk too.
