Shot 2 Fox's a few nights back, this one copped a .17 25grn hollow point above the eyes, the inside of the scull was turned to mush and broken bones.
I scalped him for the fox bounty, if anyone wants to see the damage a 25grn hp can do I'll post the pic, fairly gruesome.

That picture alone is pretty gruesome alone.

Never take pictures of our coyotes. People ask why and I say I am not shooting them to provide bloody pictures for couch potatoes.
there are a couple ways to see them. Get off the couch and shoot some your self or do a google search for the pictures.

I always take pice of foxs ive removed from the properties i shoot, it gives the land owners/farmers evidence of foxs shot and they have even shared the pics with neighboring property owners and ive gained access to more properties in the process.
The reason i shared the above pic was to highlight the performace of the tiny 25grn hp from the .17rem round and its fur friendly attributes.

All our hunting spots if we don't own the property is word of mouth farmer to farmer who call us when they have a problem to start then allow us to keep coming back.

Farmers know what we have did because they do not see them any more for a while and also do not hear them in the morning and evenings.

Some even see us load the carcuss in the truck.

Got out for a spotlight last night after work, was using an Icotec electronic caller, worked well, managed to clean up 6 foxs, lambs are due in around 7 weeks so im trying to do a cleanup b4 they arrive.
When the lambs start im planning to go back to nightvision and hunt more on foot with either another 17rem or 204ruger.

Thanks.
They just keep coming, I have shot close to 500 off my main properties in the last 4.5 years. I just love shooting foxs.

I remember getting $76.00 for a big red back in 1974 ( fox ) after that they did not bring nothing, about $ 10 to 18 dollars per hide. Don't think anyone buys here anymore.

Fox skin market died out in Australia in the mid 80's, skins are virtually worthless now.
My state government is still paying $10 per fox scalp and $150 for wild dogs, helps pay for diesel and reloading components.

As I know, all I do know is I try to rid us of these pesky coyotes. As we have never had them around here before.

How are you getting the coyotes, calling, trapping or just shooting them when they present themselves?

I only shoot them when seen, The night lights are much better. Still trap them if can. The guys have done good job of them lately, with the night lights, as above.

Went out a few nights ago looking over the sheep paddocks, gave the 22-250 a run, man this thing hits hard at longer range compared to my .17rem, hitting a fox at 300m and the 52grn barnes make a real mess.
Foxes scalped for the bounty.

Lot of work, I hope they pay you good!! As stated, I have not been paid for foxes in many years!

Got to love that 22-250!! ( My longest shot was about 385 yards )
