I am impressed . More info on the rifle and the light. Is that the 17 Rem.?
The rifle is a Tikka M55 in .17 remington.
Im running fairly hot loads in it, pushing the little 25grn bullet over 4000fps.
The light in the pic is a modified Brinyte B158, running a better cree, switch and only has 1 mode, so no low/med or strobe.
It throws a square beam out to 300m+.

Was invited to shoot a new property last night, this is directly opposite my 2 other properties so very convenient.
Managed 8 foxs, hit another but he escaped into a den.

What is your opinion on the 17 WSM rimfire?
Sounds like a good little cartridge, a big step up from the 17hmr, for me personally i would go for the 17hornady hornet over the wsm, as it can be reloaded and goes faster.
Im still not sure if the WSM will survive long term, it hasnt taken off like the HMR.

I love my 17 hmr, amd my 22 mags. And my 22-250 is great, but I was thinking I might want another 22 mag. or a 17 wsm. ( undecided ) Well I never had a rifle that will shoot like my 17 HMR or my 22-250, Thinking about another 22 mag. or a new 17 WSM.

If you already have a 22mag go for it and get a WSM.
I have a few other Varmint rifles, all centrefire, 2x17rems, 204ruger and 22/250. Love them all.
My 204 is setup with ATN nightvision, i ran it for a while but missed regular glass, and havnt used it in as while.
My 22/250 is a heavy Varmint Rem VLS and hits hard at longer range.

Just purchased a savage model 93 ss 17hmr.waiting on scope rings from midway usa ! ya'll's input ?

Like any rimfire you'll need to try different ammo brands and weight projectile to find one your rifle likes.
The only savage 17hmr ive used was a heavy barrel 93 with spiral fluted barrel and evolution stock, quite a unique looking rifle, it favored hornady ammo.

1229181404.jpg New coyote rig, cheap truck gun. Used off gun broker- model 700 in .243 with factory detachable magazine. Never heard of Firefield scopes before but gun shop had it on the cheap figured I'd try it, hopefully get it tuned in tomorrow

What kind of .17 is the one in the photo? WSM, HMR, Hornet?
Sorry I’m not to familiar with this caliber.

Oops sorry. I meant this one.
The calibre is .17remington, it basically a .223 necked down to .17 cal, extremely high velocity and capable of speeds over 4200fps.
Went out with my visiting brother in law last night and managed 5 foxs.

Any pointers on best scope light for fair price, hoping to do a little night calling.
Depending on how far your shooting, if only shooting upto 150m try the Brinyte B158, they can also have the module changed to red, blue, white and ir for night vision.

Shot these 4 the other night (missed another 5), not my finest night out, my Tikka .17rem isnt shooting accurately, I recently pulled it down for cleaning and it hasnt been the same since, will need to shoot a target and see where its shooting.
A pic of the scalps drying to cash in at a later date.
