Yes, absolutely. I still need to chamfer all the ports.

Thanks for the kind words.

I think I am going to grind the lower transfer divider round. Shown in red....and not have a sharp edge.

Awkward that the Mark2 came like that. The originals were slightly rounded

Welp, I did it. I taped it off really good. Then vacuumed the shavings off the tape and surrounding areas. I'll take some pics. We need pics right!?

Sorry if I'm derailing the thread. I know it's not a cylinder. But figured I could at least entertain you guys haha

I also rounded over the lower transfer knife edge. Mo bedda now.

For sure. Sort of wonder why they changed the shape. You did one of these didnt you Kevin?

I do like the change they made to the piston.

Gonna do er.

You ever modified the cases on these series of saws? ill post a pic

No, I don't increase the width of the cutout in the skirt extension. I just raise it as much as I cut off the base so it stays in place with those wingdings. Which they help straighten the flow into the lower transfers. In stock form, the lower transfers are already much larger than the rest of the transfer tunnel so not much work is needed on them. Just clean up casting flash and straighten areas where you can. Making them larger is only going to delay the hit of fresh mix to the cylinder.

Should have posted pics from before. Cylinder survived ingesting something and had a new piston put in it. Only damage was to combustion chamber. Lucky..... this is how it came to me as a runner took .025 out of the squish F20E14F7-CAA0-4EBD-A75B-9B79ADCB0CDD.jpeg

Why did you grind on the skirt extension into the case just below the transfers?
Took .030 off the base and had interference with the case. Not having one of these before I just assumed it was that tight. I took more off the skirt than I actually needed to.

Shaun, where should I be numbers wise? This is going to be a dedicated long bar saw.
