So,how much? I'm looking at a p to c clearance of 5-6 thousandths. With the new piston and rings it's pretty snug.

Thats what im used to seeing and using Ross, but "Meteor web site" has a few more options. 5-6 is the norm though.
Here is the piston spec on a 262xp as a example.

I set my 166's at 4.5 as well as Mac 797's. 101 Kart motors
i give 5.5. Haven't scuffed a piston yet.

When I made the cast iron liner for one of my Mac 125's I set it at 4.5 thou .

Back to this question. So is 5-6 thousands total or the clearance all around a centered piston?
