Next up is the carb. You want to put the throttle linkage first then the choke. Once they are hooked up then you can mount the carb.

I didn't take any pics of running the fuel line, but again it's simple. Same thing with the full wrap and air filter.

I'm waiting for a chain break spring that should be here soon thanks to @acornhill . When it's here I will put the break parts together . The decals should be here soon as well.

Lol yes very important. The flywheels don't come of these saws very easy.

For now I did put in the cylinder gasket, but it will be coming out in the future. The squish is .040 right now. After a few cuts the compression is at 155 right now.

Oh here is a couple pis where I ground the case half to match the extra set of transfers. A lot of the saws early on were not ground from the factory. Not all Pioneer/Partner p42hp saws came with the 6 transfer top end.

Here are a couple pics. The filter has seen better days, but they are hard to find. If I was to use this for any more then a few cuts, I will put a vstack and K&N on it.

Nice work...those 6-port jugs have a unique sound to them. I've been thinking about having one of those cylinders machined down so I can get the exhaust number lower.

Yep they sure do. There is definitely plenty of room for improvement for sure. For now this one is all stock, but that will probably change in the future. Thank you for the kind words.
