The cases were bad, and so was the 6 transfer top end. The cylinder could be replated though. I had a set of farmsaw cases that happen to be the same part number. Once tore down the parts were sent to @Glock37 for powder coating. Mike did a amazing job as usual. 20180826_143842.jpg 20180928_143032.jpg

Next was getting the bearings on the crank. On the later p42hp saws there is washers to put in before the bearings go on the crank. I didn't take pics of this process .

Next was crank and bearings back in the cases. I put it in the pto side first, and then flywheel side. Once again I didn't get pics till everything cooled down, but here is one afterwards. 20180929_101328.jpg

I put the piston on next. I debated about notching the piston to match the extra set of transfers. In the end I decided to do it as the later Poulan saws were done this way. Oh and @Mastermind said it was a good idea as well.20180930_075112.jpg 20180930_153240.jpg 20180930_155149.jpg

The next thing to do is put some type of sealer on the cylinder nuts. In the future it will save you from having to pull the flywheel. If they fall off you have to pull the flywheel. I used motoseal. 20180930_160945.jpg
