I have a Pioneer/Partner P42. It needs a new bar and chain. Oregon's bar match doesn't show a bar for this saw. Who makes one? I am not positive the bar that was on it is the correct fit. 20190204_222941.jpg20190204_222933.jpg

How wide is that slot? Seeing the 70dl make me think it's like a modern 3/8s 20" D176 that you find on Echos. If that slot is closer to 9.5mm then grab a D009 and enjoy a standard 72dl chain count for 20" bars like everyone else does. Either way you'll just have to make your own oiler holes.

It was originally d007 mount, but as Wayne said d009 is easy to make fit. Just widen the slot, and your good to go.

The slot is .375. I'd like to do .375 72dl. So what complete Oregon bar # do I need to order?

Power match.
.050, 200RNDD009
.063, 203RNDD009

There is a .058 available too but that gauge can gfy. You might try a Versacut bar, they are made from a lighter material that might be easier to mod.

The bar I have looks like a D196. Or maybe even a D096 would work also.

Is that saw new old stock? I have newer modern saws that don't look that good.

I restored it a few months ago. Thank you for the compliment.
