im sorry to hear about your pooch. in february we had a similar thing happen our dog got some sugar free gum that had xylitol as the sweetener and it is super toxic to dogs. we also had to put her down. we thought she would be fine because she threw up most of the gum we also didnt know it was toxic and we took her to the vet who said she seemed like she was okay....her kidney and liver were failing and didnt know it until the next day. we still feel pretty bad about it because she suffered silently
