Looks like one of the typical 55cc semi pro or farm saw models except the black/yellow is reversed from ones I'm familiar with.
p50, s55, f55, etc..
Could be 65cc if you're lucky.
The shade of yellow looks a little like one of the Skil 16xx rebrands.
That particular spark plug bulge is probably the most obvious indicator of the general time frame/model range.

Usually the pro models around that era were all yellow, the semi pro/farm saws were yellow top/black bottom, always oddball stuff turning up though.

Guessing that might be a Skilsaw. I am leaning toward the 65 cc 1646 or 1647. It is showing the antivibe and the brake flag. The 1632 was the 55 cc offering, but was not equipped with antivibe or chain brake. Similar to an F55.

I think that Skilsaw is along the lines of an F65A or S65.

Just an inference from a manual I have.

From what I recall I agree, and it isn't the first time I see the "reversed" colors.

If the top cover is the original it likely is one of the later "farm saws" in this saw family, possibly in Skil "dress" - but of course you never know what may have been changed trough the years on older used saws.

I have a s55 I'm gonna put a p65 topend on one day and port. They make a fun saw.

As far as I know the never was a P65 in that model family (the made the larger option a 70cc P70 when introducing the "P" series) - but there were closed port 65cc top ends on some of the earlier "R" designated models.

Need help. Found a a huskvarna/partner formula 60 on CL today. Tried reseaching this saw and basiclly came up with nothing. Only thing I know is it's a 60th anniversary sale. It's 49 cc's with a 13 inch bar and it's black. Made in 2009 is what the sticker said. Any information would be good information whether it's a good saw or not and value of the saw . Thank you .

Decomp,good idea
Glad jumped in Al
This is my saw , apparantly its a R440T
how can we tell the diff between these models
like P100,1000, R440, R440T
they all look the same ,These cylinders are about 2'' so taking the DECOMP out of 1 of these for the R440T

I'm by far not a Partner expert .How ever as I understand it the R440 is fore runner of the P100 /Mac 1000 .What if any difference is I have no idea .I do know a p100 that has good compression is rather hard to pull over having no decomp .I know those Swedes are a tough bunch but why they made a p100 or a Husky 2100 with no decomp kind of amazes me .
My two Partner P-100's are works in progress I just have not had the time to delve into .One is low on compression and one basically is a basket case but salvageable .I'll get- er- done some time .My plan is to soup up the one branded as Partner and totally restore the McCulloch branded unit .

I had never owned a Partner before the first unit came about .Never worked on one and had seen very few .It was uncharted territory for me .Stihl or McCulloch I could dive right in but with the Partner I had to almost reverse engineer it to figure out how it was made .It was interesting to see another method of doing things .
It seemed to me to be well made with certain weak links like all saws have in some area or another .They were never popular in this area but the concrete saws were back in the day .Said by some as the top of the pile .Assuming the R440 is in fact an early P100 if you use Husqvarna 2100 bar plates a Husky mount bar will work .If you use the McCulloch bar plates, which they are very proud of then Mac 10 series bars will work .--more

I had used the one example I have running using a 32" bar from a 2100 Husky to drop a 36" dead ash .Originally a 100 footer with 40 feet of top blown out . It pulled it but the saw was sick, needs a make over .In fact my Stihl 038 Mag which is souped and also with a 32" ran circles around it .It doesn't hardly seem right for 72 cc to spank 99 that bad .I mean I know I'm relatively good at it but I'm not that good .
