Well dang! Attempted to run it at the Fort Scott GTG only to discover the fuel line disintegrated.
In line for a full refurbish he is.

image.jpeg image.jpeg Excited about my weekend find. Thought it was a p100 at first but now I realize it's an r440 w/ a decomp. Looks kind of rough but it's got spark and after two cans of brake cleaner the cylinder is looking pretty good.

Top picture shows it with a full wrap handle from s cutoff saw I think. It will probably go back to the original half wrap.

Just waiting on a new base gasket now and the it will get reassembled with new rings and fuel lines and we'll see what happens.

Picked up a half dozen Partners this weekend. The P100 on the box and the two 7000's are like new.

Heckuva score, just curious...what does that say on the recoil for the p100 on the bottom with the full wrap ? I've never seen one that says anything besides "Partner"

"Ignitron"
I've got another P100 Super in addition to this one that has the same logo on the recoil cover.
Thanks guys, for the compliments.

I believe you are right about that.

I snagged another P100,flea bay .Non runner ,most of the parts are there .It's a super.I might just make a hotty out of this one depending on how bad it is .if not it's parts .My typical snipe bid with 15 seconds left on the clock .

Say all you Partner experts ,is there any thing that would work for a p100 clutch cover besides a p100 cover ? How about the coil if I need one.

About all I know about Partner is being able to spell it .This is all uncharted territory for me .

I'm going to marinate that p100 super in a bucket of kerosene for a couple of weeks before I do anything to it .Won't know what else I need until I get it knocked apart .

McCulloch PM-1000, Jonsered 1020 are P100's. I've got a new P100 that's in a PM-1000 box and the shipping label shows that it was shipped to a Partner dealer.

That is true, and I suspect the P-85 cover is the same as well. I have no idea if the covers from the earlier R-series 85 and 100cc Partner saws fit (R-30, -35, -40, -435 and -440), but it may be worth looking into?

In now owning two of them,p100 and p100 super I found some differences in them .The p100 has a very poorly designed suspension system .The lower pivot point is part of the crankcase and very prone to getting broken from a fall of which mine did .The super uses a brace from the handle and probably is more robust .

The super has an eye brow exhaust port relief port .Can't remember if the other one does or not .At cranking speeds it partly lowers the comp so you can pull it over without dislocating your shoulder .With the "time -area-open" thing at running speeds it probably doesn't have that much effect but I'm still not too fond of the idea .

I'm not sure if what or if any of the concrete saws used the same engine .This brand of chainsaw was never popular around here but the concrete saws were.

Here's another mystery .I bought a top cover for a Mac 1000 which of course is the same as the P100 .The mystery is under the yellow paint is blue paint .The Mac and Partner are yellow, the J-red is red .Why the blue paint? Is there another model floating around ?

The Jonsereds top cover really should be black, not red - but pictures have told me that at least on some saws there are yellow paint under the Jonsereds colors.

Blue under yellow is a mystery for sure though, if the cover appears to be OEM - and not part of some aftermarket "performance" kit (haven't heard of such kits for the P100, but that doesn't always mean they didn't exist).

It has the McCulloch markings on it .I suspect it might have just been an assembly line thing where they might have made several models with different colors.Might not even have been a P100 or like ..It's about the same blue as I've seen on early Solos .Could have just been a mistake .
