I don't grease my bar sprockets at all. o_O
I am just assuming that the bar & chain oil creeps to the sprocket bearing and oils it whenever the chain isn't moving.
No issues so far, could be just luck though.

But for whatever I do grease I really like the black MoS2 laced grease.

EBay, a few bucks. Stens supply them. Although it is slightly different to the one posted its smaller like a pointed threaded cap. I think too you may be able to unscrew the nozzle on the small grease guns and screw it onto other grease gun hoses.

Where do I get the tip that goes on a regular grease gun?
I got that at my local tractor supply. You can try any auto store or farm/tractor store. Anyone who deals parts with heavy equipment might have one. It's a needle nose dispenser with the quick connect zert in the end. They make differend sizes so dont get one too small.

Here's one on Amazon I found that is even cheaper than the one i bought.

I'll see if I can get the name off mine when I get home.

That would be way easier than the plastic plunger kind that gets air bubbles on it!

Everything's a tradeoff, bro. Try putting it on and off the gun without smashing it in your vise. And don't forget that you throwed it in your ashtray with the extra bar nuts or you'll have a spare real quick when you go buy another one! Haha.

My grease gun has a 4 jaw that you can tighten and losen to spread the jaws. Makes easy work getting it on and off but takes longer to tighten down if a zert isn't taking grease and the tip is always slippery. Mess up my nail polish.
