They come up on ebay every now and then. Most are here in the central Kentucky area. The factory was in Louisville. There was one in pa last year on ebay.
Would need to be real cheap for me, as I wouldn't have a lot of use for it really.

I bought this yesterday and can't find anything on Google about it the tag reads Fred L Sandidge Cleveland Tenn. it's the easiest pushing mower I've ever used. The wife tried it and said it was easier to push than her vacuum. Does anyone on here have any info about this oddball?View attachment 17648
That is really cool looking.

That sure is a strange looking mower. At 40 bucks it would have
come home with me as well. But some things about it don't look
to original. The deck and handle look vintage and the wheels look
much more modern. The bolt holding the wheel on is not factory.
Even the engine to me looks to new for that mower.

The only thing about the name in Cleveland TN I could find was an obituary from 1981. I guess the guy could of had a small manufacturing company that never took off. But I don't think the wheels are original because they have plastic spokes but if it's from the 60's they could be original but I highly doubt it. The motor is a Briggs

It definitely could be a one off company that didn't make it
back in the day. There were a few of those. I have a chainsaw
made by Leland Carr and there is very little info on it and my
saw is the only one i have every seen or heard of.

You could run the model and serial on the engine and see when it was built.

All of the briggs have the date code on them. the older ones are stamped in and the newer ones are on a sticker that will eventally come off or fade.

Lawn boy sold both the scamp and the ryan to jc penny and they badged them as their own. Lawn boy has had briggs on a few of there pieces of equipment from as far back as the late sixties.

You never see those in Canada . I recall some L-B bricktop engines on some other brands back in the 70's but I don't recall the maker . Was yellow and black but it was not IH related I don't think .
