I'm hosting a race GTG March 25th. I live near Wellington, Ohio. We will be racing 0-45cc, 0-3.1ci, and 0-4ci in 8x8 poplar cants and 0-5ci, 0-6ci and unlimited in 10x10 poplar cants. The saws in the 45cc-6ci are to be stock appearing, mufflered on pump gas saws. We will have a winners and losers bracket for each class and the winners of each bracket to face off in finals. All are welcome, but this is a race GTG and we won't have large logs to saw. If you've got a fast saw in any of the classes this GTG is for you. Or if you just come and run some saws and put a face with a name. More information will be added as we get closer to the date.

Is this the first one that you have hosted? Or have you done this in the past?

I don't have a under 45 cc I might bum my son in laws Dolmar 421, an old edition 346 would rock out this one. I'm running a ne346 in 3 cube. It's actually 3.1 CI but most places including my gtg will allow it. Have a 2260 presently I'll run in the 4 cube, 372 in the 5 CI and 394 in the 6 CI. That as big as I go. Deets your 088 would be in the open class.

Yeah open class is hard competition, especially for a work ported saw. Right chain and sprocket might get me in the ball park

Over half my line up is just woods ported, but it's still fun to run and with the right chain will compete.

0-45cc, 0-51cc=3.1ci, 0-65cc=4ci, 0-80cc=5ci, 0-98cc=6ci and anything over that for our purposes would be in an open class. Guys with saws that are at the max of the cc per CI have an advantage in theory. But we're just racing for bragging rights and those that want to,we might put a small purse like $5 per class per person to go to the winner. Just to make it interesting

Baby funsaw ms241

3 cuber Lizzy bordon 346xp

4 cubation possibly Copycat Killer solo 666

5 cubes possibly Hush 372 or 281 stocker or ms461 2 plug maybe copy at killer 666/681

6 cubifer possibly magenta scale 661 or one of the 5 box saws, several would be competitive with a decent operator (not me yet)

Unlimited class - 084 arctic or possibly my new 14k 076 Super High Rise Unlimited Full circle crank race ported cremepuff

If any of you guys are on the fence - get the F off, fences are tough on your ass-crack and this type of gtg with these guys is a blast even when you lose (you will be in good company).

My first time there, barely any of the guys busted my balls for showing up with work saws, stock semi chisel chain amd a 28" and 32" bars
They hooked me up with 16" bars and race chains and even ran them for me.

They told me my saws were fast and them ran circles around them with thier own worn out chains :zpong:

If any of you Guys need a saw to run i have a few fast ones i dont mind loaning out for the day
