What markings are on the cylinder base?
Bing carb?
Just curious
Carb is a walbro wj48.

So which is the better cylinder of the non decompression 066- Mahle or the thin base KS? They come around from time to time - or does it matter if porting it?

I'd run that piston unless I was planning to sell the saw. It'll clean up and run good without any problems.
Cylinder is perfect...
Piston would probably be fine...
I don't really"need" the saw so I'm going to put a new piston in it in case I decide to sell it, that way I would have no worries about it...

Looks like it has quite a bit of run time. All saws wear on intake side shortly, but when there are no machine marks left...it definitely has some time on it. It’ll probably run fine cleaning up the smudge on ex side if you don’t plan to use it much. If it were me, I’d just get a oem or meteor and be done with it for piece of mind. Check the squish if you decide to get a new piston.
