I'd run that piston unless I was planning to sell the saw. It'll clean up and run good without any problems.

Cylinder is perfect...
Piston would probably be fine...
I don't really"need" the saw so I'm going to put a new piston in it in case I decide to sell it, that way I would have no worries about it...

Looks like it has quite a bit of run time. All saws wear on intake side shortly, but when there are no machine marks left...it definitely has some time on it. It’ll probably run fine cleaning up the smudge on ex side if you don’t plan to use it much. If it were me, I’d just get a oem or meteor and be done with it for piece of mind. Check the squish if you decide to get a new piston.

The intake side is worse than the exhaust, so it's a good decision to toss it. I'd go OEM for two reasons...they're not all that much more costly than the best aftermarket version, and your saw will sell faster without getting beat up on price.

The price difference between an all OEM saw like that, versus one without, is gonna be a lot more than 60 bucks.

I don't mean to make it sound like I'm chitting on aftermarket parts because I'm not. It's only advise for the highest potential profit.

And I'm kicking myself in the nuts right now because I didn't stock up on 660 pistons while they were around $55.

Here is a nice 64 I picked up in December, I replaced the chinese cylinder/piston with a OEM and a meteor.
This is B4 I cleaned it up, got it from original owner.
