My original redlight jug i sent to the bag of dicks to carve his ugly initials in was a thick base.
I sent a thick base to Reilly to assemble for Doc that has a juicy thick base not from a red light.
Ita hard to tell becauae they swapped manufactures and had a million revisions.

I have an all original one owner canadian red light we should tear down sometime to see if we learn anything

As far as case goes? I don't know, might be wrong. I know that both of them had the dogleg coil so had to have the same bolt pattern with 3 holes. Not sure about the oiler..Maybe it was a little different...

The later 064 case had the same ignition mounts as the 066 case. The three mounts cases were the transition between the dogleg coils and the universal modules. I have a service bulletin on it somewhere.

Where does John find these saws?
Thats Ron660s Deets. Bubba finds them all over the US. He hit the motherload of Stihl about 2 yrs ago in San Antonio from a collector with mint saws from 026 to 880s. He bought 20 something saws from that fellow

I block them off like you would to pressure/ vac test...
Degreaser and a soft bristle scrub bush to knock off the heavy stuff...
Rinse with hose then into the USC...
Then a quick rinse.
