Oh64 or 066?

I know there were lots of changes on theses but how do I know which I have??
Was told it's a 64 but has a 066 badge...
Only had a minute so these are the only two pics I took...

Can you pull the muffler and share a pic of the cylinder base? The 064 has a thinner base than the 066. It could have been changed to an 064 after it was purchased as an 066.

Just curious more than anything.
It's been used as a "cant cutter" and has "port work"... Hasn't moved off a shelf in over a decade... But you could probably tell that from the pic!!
I'll try to get a look under the hood shortly, the suspense is killing me....

Nah. I'm good at muf mods and lousy at the rest. Lol.

I'm sure it doesn't have a lot of run time on it. I traded out some work for it. His father owned a Stihl shop many, many moons ago and he got this saw for cant racing .
He gave me a chain a couple years ago that was his round file racing chain....

He had an 044 that apparently was pretty nasty that was going to be mine but somebody (dirtbag thief that most likely pawned it) needed it more than he did...

I guess this would be a "double D" muffler mod.... As in dirt dobber....

I guess no air filter, no kill wires and a little extra muffler opening is the extent of the "mods"...
Excited about nothing I guess....

No the 064 has a certain shape to it on the flywheel side, not to mention the external oil line on the PTO side, 066 is completely different.

According to the ipl, there were 066 models made with the same flywheel side case half as the 064.
