We had a balmy 20 degrees with good wind this morning. I feel almost ashamed to advertise it as "cold" but nevertheless it was colder than the 60 degree temps we've been having.
I know you folks in the midwest are having record cold temps :eusa_doh:

-32 F this morning. -49 wind-chill. A co-worker ride his bike in at 5:30 this morning, about 4 miles. We are on forced curtailment at work, running lp instead of natural gas. Going through about 300 gallons per hour.

Only way I got out of work when it snowed last year, I slid off the road after doing a few 360's on the highway going 35mph. That will put a big pucker in your seat I can tell you that. Luckily wasn't much traffic on the road that morning and most of us was going slow.

19 above zero here. Very glad to be on this side of the zero.
Is there ever a time when you guys get used to the sub zero weather? (I have never lived there).
Actually yes. You do get accustomed to it.

The wind you never do, but thats fading here, and it "feels" much warmer.

In spring, first day of upper 50's to low 60's, people will have car windows open, our shop doors will stay open.
