Have a couple of buddies trying the archer on our hardwoods not very favourable unfortunately edge goes off very quickly and chain sags .Cuts great on softwood though.

Mornin' Friday Fabricators! Raining and high 40's over here. Supposed to be sunny for the weekend.

Got some gaskets, bearings and seals for the 288. Talked with a guy at the Husky shop. He's running a ported/piped 3120--gonna have to see that guy in action.

I'm also running a couple of loops of the Archer chain. Very noticeable difference in it and RS or the C-85.

One of the most noticeable things about the Archer is it does dull quickly and stretches more than the RS and C-85.

It's not as sharp out of the box either. I dropped a couple loops off to be ground, so I'll see if it improves with grinding.
