I believe 64 was the only year that they only came with a 4sp.
After that there were more options for them.
They had to roll something out to compete with Pontiac in 64. When they introduced the GTO.

At work trying to give a fug. Got a 4 day weekend coming up and we only have one 5017 sheet job on the schedule until next Wednesday when more paper comes in.

Every *a-hole here had a nova i still like the deuces though.
There's a few of the 80s 442 around here

All I know is it was sure fun to Hot Rod all that old junk in the 80's that nobody wanted and could be found easily. Thought those days would never end...fastest race I ever did was against a 70 model 442 with a built 455. That car sure was a looker, black with white rally stripes. It's just a plain old miracle that my buddies and I all survived the stuff we pulled. Lol

Glad the 400 has diesel like tq. Took of from the stop sign a few times in 3rd gear lol

Dad had me take it to town to wash/fill it up with fresh fuel. I was the last one to drive it before it was parked. Figured I should go clean it up.

Grandpa had a fixed pitch fan installed to keep temps down during parades. Dam thing sounds like an old grain truck over 1800 rpm

I like the a body's well enough. But the late g body's are my favorite

Have an 84 cutlass with the 350 diesel may get on the rd some day... Prolly won't have the diesel though.
