Varies greatly from year to year, usually no later than the first week in May. A lot of this year's ice is poor. From snow melt/freeze on top. Spring holes are very active this winter from a very high water table. These are already opening up holes the ice. Otherwise, it's still in good shape.

The thickest ice I have seen here was about 8" and it was in a 6' pond lol.
