Only log around was my test log from the Ash tree I took down earlier this year in my neighbors yard.

Well how did it go? I got my first taste of milling a couple months ago. It was pretty cool, but I haven't bought my own mill yet.

Thanks! Would have been a lot better two or three years ago. The bark fell off maybe last year and the exterior was starting to deteriorate.

I used my ported 044 with a 25" bar and a Oregon RD ripping chain. Saw ran well and only issue was my muffler screws came loose so I had to stop and put the muffler back on! Lol!
