New electric heater wont work

Ok. I baught an electric heater for the shed. Took it out to plug in and nothing. Wont work at all. I thought i just got a bad one. Go back to house after a while and figure i would plug it in and double check befor i return it. Works perfect as it should. WTF go back out to shed and nothing. I have no idea what goin on. Anything else runs out ther. Welders, air compressor etc. Why wont this heater work out ther?
To get power to my shed i use a heavy extention cord.
Heater plug is just a 2 prong no ground.

Oh boy do i ever feel stupid. So got home and figured i would have another look. When i set it on counter in house it was pressing the safety button. In shed i sat it on some crap that was on bench and not sitting so it was pushing button. Never seen a safety switch like that on heater.

That switch is in case they fall over.

Ya i know. I never seen one like.that befor. Any other heater we have the safety switch is hiden inside.

Don't feel bad. I returned two different cabinet style IR heaters because they wouldn't power on. Come to find out it had a master switch on the back, next to the floor. Nowhere in the instructions did it mention this. My wife found it and was like "this may help"! I called the store to tell them the two I brought back weren't bad, I was just an idiot. Said I wasn't the only one that had done that.
